Being the first one in my family to graduate from college with a Recreation and Leisure Studies BA makes me feel blessed and happy at the same time. I cannot thank my family and friends enough who have being there for me every step of the way. It has not been easy but I can proudly say “we did it”

      My philosophy for life is that everyone has an important mission in life to complete.

 Every day is a new opportunity to be a better version of ourselves. I want to not only be a better person for myself but also for my community. I believe that our community is the place we can make the difference we want to see in the world; that was the reason I chose Recreation as a field of study. As professionals we have the opportunity to provide services and programs for everyone in the community so they can meet each other, connect and make a stronger community.

       Some of the things I love to do as recreation include painting, watch movies, help others in need, dance, travel and read.
